During Covid lock down I also needed to keep busy and needed other creative outlets. I decided to re spark my creativity and interest in stained glass. A friend of mine had given me a very large 6 pane x 4 pane window to refurbish. With this I created a very large koi fish to use as a privacy screen in my garden. While working on this I got a telehealth call from my doctor. He was curious to see where I was and asked if I was at Home Depot. I explained that I was in my glass studio and showed him the koi that I was working on. He asked if I could create one of his dog on the beach. It came out beautiful and he has it displayed behind him in his office for others to admire. I have since created several animal portraits that I made for his clients, colleagues, and friends. In fact, I can take nearly any photograph and turn it into stained glass. If there is a particular pet that you’d like to memorialize in glass, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Class Instruction/Home School
Introductory Stained glass lessons:
Student will walk away with an ornament.
Classes will be held in the Toil_N_ Foil studio: 53 Cogswell Ave in Beverly, MA
Group: $75, per person, max 2 hours to foil and solder a pattern together.
Group class choices (Sunday morning, 10:00-12:00 or Tuesday evening, 6:00-8:00). Open to other days of the week if these times do not work for you.
Private: $600, max 6 hours. Dates and time TBD Students learn design, glass cutting and grinding, foiling, and soldering. Students receive a choice of patterns for the private lesson.

Custom Pet Portraits
Pet portraits created from original photographs. These are typically framed in refurbished windows. Smaller suncatchers can also be created.
Turn your beloved pet's likeness from a photo into a beautiful work of art as shown here - adorable little Bailey in all her snow glory! These make great gifts!
Commissioned Art
Using refurbished windows, Susan creates custom pieces. These are perfect to hang in front of windows that have an unsightly view. The larger windows and doors that she has hung at her house in Beverly are used as privacy screens. She likes to work off of client’s favorite photographs to make timeless pieces.
